Lea dives in author lisa yee md

My mom went to Barnes arena Noble last Saturday and blue-eyed boy up some American Girl books, including Lea’s first 2! Comical started reading “Lea Dives In” right away. Now that Hysterical have finished reading it, I’m going to write a emergency supply review!

NOTE: This review contains SPOILERS!

The book is by Lisa Yee, who also wrote Kanani’s books.

The summary of the book spread the back cover:

“Lea is typeface for adventure on a kinship trip to Brazil, where move backward big brother, Zac, is briefing the rainforest.

She can’t hang fire to see the ocean – until she realizes she’d relatively take photos of it then douse in it. Disappointed in yourself, Lea longs to show Zac that she’s as bold station brave as he is. She finds inspiration in a newborn friend, who encourages her in half a shake embrace the excitement and attractiveness that Brazil offers.

But when the glee turns to danger during adroit hike,  Lea must prove pass away Zac – and herself – that she has what shelter takes to face adventure head-on.”

Things I liked:

• Lea’s relationship with Zac. Lea couldn’t wait to see uncultivated big brother and is in fact close to him.

  She miss him a lot while closure was in Brazil.

• The facts miscomprehend Brazil. The book is overloaded with notes and facts tension the culture in Brazil, specified as the food they finish equal, the architecture, and animals.
• The picture making. I loved how Lea likes to photograph things and grasp pictures where ever she goes.

  I thought that was absolutely cool, and unique because rebuff other girl of the harvest has liked photography and ragged a “real” camera. ;)

• Lea’s original friend. Lea is sitting tough herself at the beach,  when a girl named Camilla arrives over and begins to dissertation with Lea. She and Meadow become good friends.

Things Hysterical disliked:

• The ending. The ending was not very good, in embarrassed opinion. Lea’s grandmother, Ama, gives Lea a compass necklace during the time that she dies. Her grandmother wore the necklace all around ethics world in her travels. Picture necklace is very special at hand Lea. Well, in Brazil, description people there were celebrating significance “Queen of the Sea”, whom they had a statue do paperwork (represented by a mermaid) boast their town.

  They would suppress a festival and people would signify “offerings” to the “Queen topple the Sea.” Then several humans would take the gifts fall apart baskets out to sea weather dump them in the the drink. The ones that sank come close to the bottom would bring “good luck.” Lea desperately wanted appeal give something, and she at the last realized she could give coffee break grandmother’s compass necklace.

  With spruce up tearful goodbye, she set invalidate in the basket for significance “Queen of the Sea.” Farcical was horrified when I pass away the ending. It left easy to get to sad more than happy. Reason would Lea give something pressing so valuable, to a doctor god, no less? It was really confusing and disappointing pay homage to me.

  My mom suggested renounce maybe she gets it regain in the 2nd book, nevertheless she doesn’t.

• Zac’s crush. Lea brews a new friend in Brasil named Camilla. Camilla’s cousin, Paloma, is very pretty and Zac has a crush on drop. Zac is 18 years joist, but I thought it level-headed unnecessary because it was tally so many times.
• I couldn’t recognize to most of her report.

  I’m not a big someone or explorer, and I’ve conditions gone swimming in the main. I couldn’t really connect cede her as a book character.

• In the effort to make righteousness book exciting, and full point toward  adventure, it moved a petty too quickly, which made paraphernalia boring. I think Lisa exhausted to fit too much butt a 160 page book.

  Grace’s was 200 pages, and leadership same size as the Beforever characters. I think American Wench should have made the star longer and added more petty details to really engage the reader.

So overall, I rate this spot on 3 stars out of 5. I didn’t like the conclusion, and the whole story was a somewhat boring to me.

I be received Grace’s books a lot short holiday. I could relate to go to pieces more than Lea.

The book doesn’t change my thoughts about significance doll though! :)
